I also appreciate the size of the 6 and symmetrical front. Most other folds have this awkward hinge side with weird corners/bezels that i can't unsee - it looks out of proportion. I upgraded from the 5 due to a good trade-in deal and found this to be a polished upgrade. It just feels different. In front, it's like having an iPhone mini that converts into a mini tablet.

Switched from iPhone to zfold 3 several years ago, upgraded to the zfold 4 since then.

The zfold is so much better than the iPhone, it was a similar feeling as going from blackberry to the iPhone 15 years ago.

The battery life and screen crease in the zfold haven't caused any complaints or issues for me. The size of the zfold screen is an absolute game changer. One note that no one mentions when they review the zfold is that, when folded, it is far smaller and more compact than an iPhone. It fits in your pocket so much better, and then you can fold the phone out and it's the size of a small tablet.

Unless iPhone moves into a foldable phone too, I could never switch back into an iPhone as they feel dated and aged compared to a zfold.

I have this phone but my sim is staying in the OnePlus Open. This is an occasional weekend phone for me. I agree with you on the fold being a great device, but the battery life, charging speeds and the camera are enough of a deal breaker in terms of daily driving it all the time. To anyone reading this? It is a great device and if you like it? Awesome. Myself personally? Kinda feels like Samsung is twiddling its thumbs and watching the competition blaze ahead instead of being the foldable zeitgeist it once was.

Great honest review ! In my opinion, the only things missing from the Fold 6 to be perfect, are 3 things from S24 Ultra : battery capacity, charge speed, periscope len ! I believe the high price tag is due to getting 2 samsung flagship devices at once : one mobile phone & one tablet :)

I think i know why I'm still on my fold 4...i realized folds might not be for me.. the mirroring of screens i never use because i want my outsider screen to look just like my inside for consistency seamless transition, i never fold my phone and prop it up to watch YouTube the smaller screen is not very good like that and the main big screen when watching YouTube has big black bars which ultimately gives you a normal phone sideways...so I'm forced to zoom in to get the "full screen " experience, i purchased a fold pen...never used it lol and u have to put it somewhere and not lose it what i do like is rhe multi tasting i find myself many times having 3 apps open at the same time. But perhaps for these reasons i have held off on upgrading.. also they really don't look very much different from the 4 to 5 to 6.

I would say if you're coming from zfold 4 or Newer, don't upgrade, and most people who have a zfold 3 even I wouldn't suggest upgrading unless the trade in deals r great as they where during pre order, but I would say it's a good upgrade from the zfold 3, the zfold 2 to 3 was the biggest upgrade and while zfold 3 to 4 seemed incremental but when compared to zfold 6 the difference from zfold 4 to zfold 6 seems such smaller than zfold 3 to 4, you gained better camera which was higher mp and you gained an addition 3× telephoto, the outer display for the first time got slightly wider and once again it slightly got wider but I still want it to be a bit more wider, but from the zfold 3 to zfold 6 cover display is a day and night difference, camera and more efficient processor. But to be honest I don't know if I would call it a necessary upgrade because you get all the galaxy AI on it, and still same old no spen inside the phone the same old 4400mAh battery still, if your coming from the zfold 2 definitely upgrade. Samsung narrow outer display is the biggest issue. Wider outer display would solve so much problem, would give us more room for a wider battery and an 8" inner display, would give it more room to include the spen, would shave off thickness if you increase the width of the device and would give it more room to fit a parascope lens. The removable of narrow display and making it a traditional candy bar smartphone solves all these shirt coming. Zfold would become perfect if they hopefully finally get rid of the super narrow outer display. Hopefully, the zfold 7 will gain a 6.5" outer display with an 18:9 aspect ratio I beg samsung please, which unfolds into 8.3" display, larger than 5000mAh battery, 65W fast charging please I beg you Sammy which I know won't happen atleast give us s24 ultra camera instead of the s25/+ or the same camera sensor as zfold 4, integrated spen with spen support on cover display, ip68 please while not rising the price that too us is an $1899 phone at this price there should be no sacrifices, I would say because of the compromises it has it shall cost as much as the s24 ultra.

Ugh this is defiantly a hard decision! I have been rocking a 12 Pro max for 4 years now and I have been desperately wanting a Folding Phone. AT&T is offering to give me $700 for my phone and UGH It’s so hard if I wanna switch. That inner camera leaves something to be desires and I’m nervous about inner screen reliability over the years.

I enjoyed this review. I've had the 24 ultra, 15 pro max, and the z fold 6. Traded in my 15 pro max in and couldn't be happier. I like the slimmer cover screen since it's easier to hold in 1 hand and its still wide enough for me to type on.
