Fix Voice Chat Not Working in Roblox

In this video I show you how to fix voice chat not working in Roblox issues. There are a few reasons why voice chat might not be working. One reason being that voice chat isn’t enabled on your account. To get voice chat in Roblox you will need to verify your phone number or ID, this depends on the country you are from. Additionally, you will then need to turn on the “Use microphone to chat with voice” option in the privacy settings.

Once voice chat has been enabled in Roblox you should be able to use it in game. However, you may still run into some issues. To begin, you will want to make sure that your microphone is set correctly on your PC. You can do this by opening the Sound Settings and going to the input devices. Here you will need to select your microphone and set the volume to 100. This will ensure that your microphone will be heard in Roblox.

After your microphone is all set up and working you will need to change some settings in Roblox. You can open the settings while in an experience to get all the options needed for your game. The first setting that you need to change is your input device. This is your microphone. If your input device isn’t set correctly then voice chat won’t work in Roblox. Additionally, you will need to set the output device option to the device you will hear your game and voice chat through.

Once you have set your voice chat up correctly, you can will need to enable your microphone. This can be done using the microphone button at the bottom of the Roblox settings. If the microphone is white and green then voice chat is enabled in Roblox. However, if there is a slash through it then your microphone is muted, meaning other players won’t be able to hear you.

Additionally, you can also toggle mute and unmute your microphone using the microphone icon in the top left corner when the settings are open.
If the voice chat not working in Roblox issue still isn’t fixed then you can try signing out and back in. This can help update your account after voice chat has been enabled on your account.

An alternative solution if voice chat is not showing is to uninstall and reinstall Roblox. This will ensure that voice chat works provided it is enabled in your account settings. If you are playing Roblox on PC then it is likely that this will solve the voice chat not working issue on Roblox.

I have a microphone but it doesn't even give me the option to use the microphone, and then it says no input device in settings

Edit: Found a solution-Just use the web app. Not the one from the store.

for those who don't know, if you enable vc on roblox and don't have a mic it won't show up. You need a mic to use vc

Another way to fix it is on PC you have to uninstall it from the microsoft store and use the actual roblox installer, it WILL OPEN THE MICROSOFT STORE. DONT USE IT. exit out of the store and it will leave the roblox installer promt, install it, and you should be fixed. +this in the video

my problem is that when i turn on my vc and it has green on it on the experience and i speak no one hears me. even if i scream no one still hears me. and also when me and my friend were playing i turned on my mic and she couldnt hear me, even tho her vc is on

IF YOU CANT FIX IT READ THIS - the problem is that you can't use voice chat on the roblox app from the Microsoft store. So to use voice chat, you have to go on your browser and log into your roblox account and try to play a game. It will show you the steps to download the "play extension" and do it. The extension (the roblox logo) will be in your home desktop and you will be able to play roblox with vc through that extension. Note: you don't have to keep going back to the roblox browser to play vc, just press the roblox extension icon that's on your home desktop.
