Eachine X140HV on 'ghetto' 6S.... and FAIL

I said I'd be back to try 6S, and here it is... albeit in a slightly bodged way. But never mind, what could possibly go wrong :D

Well, we could get a motor desync and it fall out of the sky... for example. This is my take on what's happening at least, but I'm certainly open to opinions and suggestions for fixing. I should just work out of the box of course, but that's just wishful thinking. A bit of a shame really, as the sluggishness that I experienced in 4S is gone - so the motor KV needs 6S even if the ESCs don't want to play nicely.

Wondering if the physics of heavy top mounting might have over-worked the motors. You're in a unique position to further the experiment: mount one battery on top and the other on the bottom. Thank you, Wayne. Nice to see you're having good weather there.

Hahaha, I loved yer technical "flux capacitor" moment. A couple of my quads did that on the latest Betaflight, despite following all the "caution and tuning" recommendations. Went back to 3.57 and all was good again.

Video feed was clean Wayne...I may try getting rid of my AHI now after watching this....Oh wait, an alternate OSD.. I would just fly it on 4S and have done with it, after all arming yourself with 6S Lipos will be expensive...I think that's what their aim is TBH. Lipo sales.

Thanks for trying 6S. I was surprised how high a throttle you needed just to hover. It didn't seem much higher than on 4S! Pity about the desync. Thanks

You can hear that the props can't take it and the Esc can't take the rpm...the drivers are just not able to switch that fast.. Even the infamous kiss fcs stutter over 60k rpm

im sticking with my "ULTRALITES" with 850 3S XT30's. At about $12.00 I get 5 min of REALLY fun flying. Perfect for me …. But if everybody converts to 6S maybe the price of 3S will drop ?? SO BUY 6S

Underpowered at 4S, death-rolls at 6S. Good job you didn't spend any money on the batteries!

Part of me wonders how it would take 5S, but I don't know of anyone making a 5S micro battery!

... the original X140 from furibee(?) is a gem - mediocre components all the way but surprising rock solid end result, like the bfight 210. this one seems like crap with structural problems as well - try flexing it, carefully though or the arms do a leprrosy number on you. your review is like your persona very kind and friendy. can't help wondering if taking a shovel to the stack and then start digging at least 6 feet towards china could be even kinder :-) ....

Seems to be a Wizard thing, the X220HV would death roll also on high throttle rapid moves. Basically the ESC is shit.

Wonder if blackbox data would be telling. I am just venturing out with BF and 5" frames very cautiously. I have two built and ready to destroy :P Won't be cluttering my desktop with SD cards mind you. Nice spot to fly btw

nice landing.. my landings usually take out gnomes, garden furniture windows.
Have they got that quad with a bigger battery? because i think you can still see some of that quad with that battery.
