HP Mini Disassembly

Disassembly of a HP Mini 110-1000 display assembly to reseat LCD connections that had become either loose or oxidized. After doing so the LCD worked fine.

My sound stopped working. Then it only worked while plugged in (not on battery). Finally the display stopped working (black).
After following this video, all problems are fixed.
I was sure I would fail after seeing my laptop in pieces. But it worked and it saved me $300 for a new one.
Although I think something was missing from the re-assembly part, as some screws were left over. I may take it apart and review the video again to verify this claim. But for now it works and I thank you.

Brilliant video. My Mini 110 display intermittently breaks up with thin horizontal banding together with strange inverse colours like a colour photo negative (pre-digital if you're old enough to remember). Physical pressure on the screen or battery pack usually resolves the problem temporarily. I'm thinking of reseating video connectors.

just like my problem before.. but after several check, actually 1 of battery's copper connection on the netbook was bend and battery did not fit in properly to power up the device.

Great video! I have an HP 110 with a display problem as well - it was dropped from a table yesterday and after that, the display became extremely dark (I can see shapes on the screen when I don't have any lights on in the room) and flickers between being dark and having normal screen lighting. Is this a problem I can fix by following your video and reconnecting any loose cables or is it something more dire? Thanks so much!

how do you get the fan on this model to stop. mine is constantly running, and I don't think it needs to be. I tried cleaning it out. I've had it for two years, I think

I own this model and I'm looking to replace the part of the circuit board but not sure what. It's crashed twice and took all programs with it and will not allow me to download anything, it only allows me to use the internet. I love this little laptop and hoping to repair it but not sure what replace on it besides the keyboard which I've already found somewhere to purchase it from. Do you know what I should replace and where to get it, please send a link. Thank you!

My HP Mini won't start up after I have taken it apart. It's missing a few screws now, would that make a difference? I had to fix the screen, got a new one and since I installed it, the darn thing won't start. The small white light on the side by the power and in front on the side of the power button work, but the power button won't light up nor will any other activity. What do I do?

did you have to reinstall your touch pad drivers after that? my touchpad aint working afer disemblembing my pc.

My Fan does not start on the HP Mini 110, so the unit does not boot at all could it be the fan has a problem or it could be something else.

You were too fast putting the keyboard back in LOL! I can't get the small black plastic strip back in (where the KB cable connects)--does that go in before the ribbon cable? do the tabs face up or towards the front? Thanks!

It has been working great but now I am facing a couple of issues now
-it doesnt start up. Either need to plug in ac or eject and replug the battery
-wifi signal reception is really poor . even on secondary wifi receiver same issue
-heats up like an oven
any idea how can I boot windows 10in it :D

what the different between lcd hinge with part code 6055B0002603 and 6055B0002604? My Hp mini 110-1169TU lcd hinge was broken and currently using 6055B0002604 hinge code. After several survey on ebay i find out that the lcd hinge with 6055B0002603 code was cheaper but i cant find the different between both of them. Can i use the 6055B0002603 hinge to replace my broken hinge? can it fit into my netbook?
