For anyone who is new to dynamax and don't have the best pokemon yet, just do three ghastly dynamax battles, trade them with a friend, and then it's free to evolve from Haunter to Gengar.

This way, you've got three dynamax gengar for these battles, instead of bringing 3 starter pokemon that won't contribute at all to the battles. Hope this helps 🙏

cant really blame anyone for not having maxed treams with how stupidly expensive it is, everyone already has shinies, hundos, megas of all these pokemon. and are entirely wasting them to just reinvest in the gmax versions after.

“Do NOT do Gigantamax Raids”, proceeds to grind g max raids 😂

Maybe if every content creator told everyone to power up their mons instead of telling everyone not to do this, than maybe that would help

@ 15:54 your teammate also shielded, so that's why they're being targeted the next cycle. If more than 1 person shields, then it will randomly choose 1 to target attack.

I don’t even blame spoofers at this point, Gmax raids are so unbelievably difficult

This was painful to watch. The amount of money he spends, complains about people bringing in Scorbunny (which is valid) but then he doesn't even change his Metagross' moveset..

Bro it sucks being in a rural area where we've been neglected since 2022, so no gigantimax for us😢

I feel like we went from dynamax to difficult dynamax to gigantimax so quickly... I don't have nearly enough stardust, candies and MP to get them high enough in time, and i've been going crazy on them... so I can't imagine what its like for those who are very casual... So of course we are getting people bringing in sobbles and wooloos at low levels. You need so many resources for not much ROI...

By the way, greedent with dark moves makes a good healer defender vs gigantamax gengar.

Brandon, it’s worth saving your dust and candies and just getting the different attacks leveled up. CP is more or less irrelevant on these bosses.

8:41 I bet bro was laughing so hard while editing this! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for showing the struggles New Yorkers are feeling. Just because we have the quantity does not mean we have the quality. It’s not city players vs rural, it should be Pokémon go players vs niantic

Niantic has failed miserably with this mechanic for many reasons:

1. Lore accuracy - in the games, ANY pokemon can dynamax. In the end game, you get “max soup” which unlocks Gigantimax for any pokemon that can do so. Solution? For a cost of 800MP, we should be able to unlock the potential for ANY pokemon to dynamax. That way, it’s one pokemon a day for free, and it connects all our old progress to this new mechanic. Eventually, they should introduce an item similar to “max soup” (“max candy”?) that you could earn as a rare drop from defeating a dynamax raid.

2. Group play vs. Individual play - like you said, Niantic needs to get with the times. Not everyone likes to play with random strangers in a group. Solution? - this wouldn’t be an issue with the changes implemented in my #1 point.

3. City players win again - it’s frustrating that Niantic is targeting this game towards an audience that plays in a densely populated area. This encourages more spoofing.

4. No incentives to do dynamax since you need dynamax to do dynamax. If you want, you could just ignore the mechanic all together. Sure, they’ll eventually release pokemon you can only get through dynamax, but nobody will be able to do them except the target city player audience or the hardcore player.

5. Does not reward the dedicated player - I’ve been playing since day 1. Yesterday, I went out for two hours to attempt to complete a Gigantimax Gengar. We had 11 players and couldn’t defeat it. Sure, some of the players were probably just going in with nothing powered up, but maybe they’re the smart ones? I’m the one looking like a fool because I’ve powered up 3 dynamax pokemon to level 40, maxed out all their moves, and still can’t beat a Gigantimax raid. All those resources wasted when I already had pokemon from the same species powered up to level 40+ with two moves on each. After how bad the first round of G-max raids went, nobody around me wants to even try anymore. Me, being a dedicated player, doesn’t mean a thing when I have to rely on others for game content. It’s not fair.

2:42 BRUH 💀 People complain about how hard GIGANTAMAX raids are, but then they go and use Charmanders and Sobbles just like this, smh.

There's over 500 people in my Discord group. The consensus is that the skill cap and the requirements for the Gigantamax raids are either too high or virtually impossible to organize groups for. What makes it worse is that joining the raids remotely isn't even an option. Because of all of this, nobody in my group even *suggested* tackling the Giganamax Gengar raids. Frankly, the difficulty for these raids is so high (even with favorable counters), that even if you manage to somehow get *ONE* Gigantamax Pokemon from any of the raids, you should consider yourself extremely lucky. For the rest of us living in smaller residential areas, the Gigantamax raids are essentially an unplayable feature with a reward that likely won't be worth the risk.

8:52 The fact that you even managed to have the opportunity to catch Gigantamax Gengar, especially a shiny one, makes you part of a very small fraction of the total player base. Chances are, this video will be the closest thing that a majority of players living in rural areas will have of experiencing it in-game.

I started playing Sept 2023, these Gengar raids have been pretty easy with metagross. We took a charizard down with 14 people on Saturday. Spend resources wisely and use pvp tactics to switch. You can get ‘em.

The best things you can do in this raid is TALK TO PEOPLE. Make sure the low level ones enter in last so more teams have higher level Pokemon and the lower ones die off quick so they can cheer.

Blastoise with Bite as a fast move so you can use Max Darkness, super effective 👌🏾
