Masterpieces that stayed in the mainstream repertoire for a long time tend to be played slower and slower over the years. But not here. Towards the end they really went for the tempo Prokofiev himself used in his own recording of this concerto! Amazing!

A half year ago she played this piece in Tel Aviv with Petrenko. This was without any doubt the best interpretation performance is even a little bit

You have to give Stravinsky, Shostokovitch and Prokofiev A for effort, I prefer the calm
and beauty of baroque music, I love Tchaikovsky, and sit enthralled by this Prokofiev on the edge of my seat
But would not take it for my desert island disk collection.
