Coming from a Toronto fan, I’m happy for the guy. If anybody deserves a better chance elsewhere, he does. I wish him well!!

Habs power play is going to be off the charts now !
I'll say they gain at least 5 games and have a 20 % scoring rate.
I'll say they end up 8th best in the league at the P.P now.

How will this effect the Leafs, Toronto Sports Network (TSN)

Genius move. Kent could probably get a 1st round pick for Laine even if he just has a mediocre 50 point season on a bad team. That would be 1st and 2nd for Harris. Genius.

That top 6 is top 5 in the league.

Whether he turns it all around or doesn’t, he’s still a fantastic player. Even an ehh season from him is still worth trading harris and a 2nd

This reminds me of what happen to the Montreal Canadiens after the Frank Mahovolich trade.

Quiet off-season?
Drafting Ivan Demidov?

He needs to be put in the Ovi spot on the power play and just let him fire away! Let him be the sniper he is

Getting rid of Anderson will just make Laine more vulnerable to dirty checks and hits...why make the target bigger on Lain'es back when Anderson can absorb some of the punishment..teams would have to split up their attack on the forwards on TWO lines !

Yeah, they said he would 'shine' when he was drafted by the Jets and they said he would 'shine' when he went to Columbus too. All shine...

It did wonders for Drouin when he went there.
