I was just in prison for the last 5 years, and I had access to podcasts, I heard this on tvgp's dynamic soundtrack, I grew up on 16 bit rpgs, I knew nothing about this, and I probably listened to this 150 times, it brought me to tears at least half of those, so amazing. I'm out now I HAVE to play this game.

At first, I thought Rai Mei deserved CC1. But this intro into this action packed song while fighting a thunder spear warrior on the top of a tower, yeah CC2 is perfect.

I took Hikari as my main, and Bandelam was my first big boss, and GODDAMN ! When this track kicked off, and I got to phase 2, with his giant sprite, I felt I was facing an absolute god of death in armor (not helping it was actually the first one I died a couple of times against) ! One of the most memorable boss encounters of the whole game for me !

I can't help but tear up when I hear this, genuinely a masterpiece of music. The choir, the guitar, the drums, the whole flow... To anyone who thinks that video game music isn't real music, please play Octopath 1 and 2 and get back to me.

Edit with new suggestions, other games with incredible soundtracks: Guilty Gear, Undertale, Metal Gear Rising, Bravely Default, Xenoblade, Persona, and any and all soundtracks and compositions from Yasunori Mitsuda and Nobuo Uematsu. You guys have amazing taste in music!

Such an amazing game! Hikari’s story was nuts and yet even after going through all the stories, Agnea is still my favourite character. I love it when her southern accent comes out 💯

I really appreciate what you did with these videos, the transitions really complete the song. By themselves the, songs for the boss battles are amazing, but with the transitions they just go to a whole new level.
