President Biden Speech on the 80th anniversary of D-Day

President Joe Biden gave a speech in Normandy, France Friday above the beaches where thousands of Americans died, commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. “We cannot let what happened here be lost in the silence of the years to come,” he said. Biden compared what US soldiers were fighting for in the 1940s to what Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is currently trying to do to Ukraine.
