Foreign interference: Liberals, Conservatives remain tight-lipped on alleged collusion

A lack of clarity and answers remain since the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) accused unnamed MPs of colluding with hostile foreign states.

More confusion erupted after Green Party Leader Elizabeth May and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh gave different opinions on the unredacted report’s findings.

First off ... contrary to what many Trudeau supporters claim ... Poilievre does have security clearance. He just refuses to get the next level "Top security" clearance in order to read the NSICOP report.
Members of the NSICOP are what’s known as “persons permanently bound to secrecy, ” meaning that they’re legally bound to take any state secrets to the grave. NSICOP clearance also goes a step further than typical top secret clearances in requiring parliamentarians to waive their usual rights to parliamentary immunity.
In an ironic twist, even former NDP leader, Tom Mulcair, agrees with Poilievre!
Mulcair told CTV he never would have taken a deal that would have required him to be “hamstrung” on what he could say in regards to a major foreign interference scandal.
“I don’t want to be told that now that I’ve seen this I can’t say that, ” Mulcair added “I think that on this, Poilievre is completely right.”

These are immediate steps Canada 🇨🇦 needs to minimize Chinese interference:
- limiting the number of diplomatic and consular officials (spies) allowed in Canada,
- closing down the Toronto and Vancouver consulates,
*- creating a foreign agent registry making foreign interference a crime, *
- closing down Beijing’s “police stations, "
- canceling "sister city" programs with China,
- closing down all Confucius institutes,
- Banning United Front Work and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office operatives *from entry to Canada.*
