The Reluctant Reviewer and Kewpie83 show you My Scene Barbie and Friends

This was a request video by one of our YouTube followers. The request was to show off My Scene Barbie and her friends. I think My Scene Barbie had to be one of the first toy lines that showed webisodes on its internet page. We lost the line here in the US because of the litigation issues it had due to a lawsuit going on that involved Mattel My Scene and Bratz dolls. Because of the lawsuit, Barbie was taken out of the line while it was still going on in the US and they put in Kennedy to take her place. This way Barbie's branding would not be involved. In Europe, new dolls still showed up in stores, we lost out. So this video shows you my dolls and a few of Kewpie's, we try to give you some line names and the years that they came out in. I loved MyScene as a kid. I really was into Bratz, but MyScene had that “edginess” to them. In the beginning, the clothes looked like stuff people would actually wear. As much as I love Barbie, it wasn’t overly pink like she could be (though, I love that early 2000s stuff now. It reminds me so much of my childhood). I specifically remember picking out Miami Getaway Nolee from Target. My Grammy bought her for me, and we then went to my cousins softball game. I just ran around, playing with my doll lol. She was so pretty! So definitely keep an eye out for her. 💙 loved seeing your fabulous collection!

My Bling Bling changed the whole line of my scene by changing the eyes and makeup. Kennedy was introduced in the Fab Faces line. Good thing Barbie was never part of that

I can see that old barbies from 2000 - 2009 have such great quality. They are in detailed, great accesories & fashion. Barbie nowdays are expensive & seems like not worth to buy it (but i buyed it too when i want it 😔)

I collect bratz but recently I got a big lot of well preserved My Scene dolls. I now know that I have the 1st release doll line complete. Im mostly in love with the boys, I love that they are all articulated. The clothing is amazing I wish Barbie would still Keep doing quality dolls like before. Anyways im super in love with these dolls definitely can appreciate the most light makeup at the begging of the brand the color choices where brilliant

Was watching one of your latest episodes and stumbled upon this one! Delancey and Nolee were my favourites too, I watched all the webisodes and played all the games constantly. And I preferred their aesthetics and their fashions to Bratz as well.

This video was so intriguing to watch. I had no idea there were that many My Scenes! I currently have 3 (one Chelsea that used to be my daughters doll), and two blond ones. Obviously I am behind in my collecting of these gals!
Thank you for taking the time to set up all the dolls and for the great close up pictures. I know it will be alto of work to put back. I go through that whenever I rearrange my different collections.

I also never had my scene dolls growing up but because I like collecting barbie I thought I start to collect these, since it is a unique version of barbie + there are so many barbies dolls out in the world, this is just a lot easier to collect.

Delancey is my favourite now. I think Chelsea was my fave back in the day, I had the original first line Barbie. So sad they don’t sell them anymore, I know you can buy them on eBay, I totally agree the fab faces look like really bad Botox lol I love the dress up one with Chelsea as a mermaid and Jammin in jamacia Maddison ❤️
