Since his code switch in 2008, SBW became a vital part of the All Black’s side that went on to be back-to-back champions of the world. People tend to forget he’s been doing it way before Rugby it was his trademark in the NRL along with his hits. Yeah sure a lot of players offload the ball but they never did it with so much flare, awareness & timing like SBW. At his peak he was more than just his offloads, the passing skills, solids hits, ability to break the line & just his I.Q. In my opinion he’s the best player to cross both codes. 👑

I have just read his book and have nothing but huge respect and admiration for this guy, he is truly a great player and a wonderful human being as well - humble and generous

One of my favourite players. He faced his daemons and came out stronger, with grace after the whistle and flair during the game. Who could forget him giving away his winners medal after a guard "smoked" 14 y.o. Charlie as SBW said? Great character that any nation would love and did.

I did a stupid offload behind my back while getting tackled and my club called me Sonny Bill Williams for about a month *I didn't like it* not that I don't like the player I just didn't deserve it.
