Kerry Hart - I Know A Gun (Official Lyric Video)

The desert is a place you can go when you are lost to be at peace with your troubles.  The desert is also a place of harsh contrast, which is an accelerator to self discovery and realization.  We shot I Know A Gun in Pioneertown, CA and Joshua Tree late this summer for precisely this reason.  In 2015 we recorded our first EP in a lovely spot out there.  We recorded live on an 8 track tape machine and it was a seminal moment in the journey to the music we are releasing now with our full length debut, I Know A Gun.  This song is the title track of the record as well as the first video and single, because in so many ways it encapsulates my journey to this music.  I Know A Gun is the story about a chance meeting that has seismic resonance. The depth of chemistry of this encounter becomes a moment of reckoning for the solo traveler, where chance and choice collide. Is this person the partner you did not dare to believe actually existed? Are you brave enough to take this risk, to venture to share the journey? When you meet an equal, a true equal, it changes everything.

The video is a poem to all of this, and I am so grateful to the band and the filmmakers and my label for their support in making this, a true expression from my imagination.
