Volume of Solids of Revolution Washer Method

Washers are used to find the volume of the solid of revolution formed by rotating the area bounded between two curves around a vertical or horizontal line. The disk method is the washer method with the inner radius equal to zero. Similar to the disk method, washers are formed when the rectangle (vertical or horizontal) is perpendicular to the axis of revolution.
