GPS shows trooper at DHHR office following welfare check on teen more than a year before her death

GPS records obtained by Eyewitness News show a trooper who performed a 2023 welfare check on a teenager who later died of apparent child neglect drove directly from the child's home to the DHHR office to make a CPS referral.

If the officer drove all the way to CPS immediately after the welfare check, why wouldn't he have reported about Kyneddy? Doesn't make any sense. 🤔
