Baldur's Gate 3: What Is The Shadow Weave?

After talking about Netheril and the Shadovar, I thought it only appropriate to talk about the Shadow Weave, Shar's creation that stands in opposition to the Weave and offers an alternative source of power for magic and what if at all could the Shadow Weave have to do with the plot of BG3?

If we end up seeing Shadow adepts (as certain MTG cards seem to indicate), I really hope we can become one. Thank you for the great informative series!

Yeah, it does seem as if Shar plays a greater role than the Dead Three but of course it being EA we just don't know the details. Enjoyed the video regardless!

There's so much going on in BG3, it's going to be crazy!

It would not be out of character for Shar to be using the Dead Three as cover or patsies for her own schemes.

I always loved Shadow adepts and the other shadow caster variants.

Hmmm. Saying that Mystra doesn’t restrict access to the regular Weave doesn’t seem to align with what has happened to Gale in Baldur’s Gate 3.
He seems to have made it pretty clear that Mystra wasn’t a fan of his stupid plan and have restricted him from accessing all of the prodigal talent he otherwise had since birth.

The Dead Three could be working with Shar to gain a bigger influence in the world!

How nuts would it be if something happens either with, or to Mystra in BG3 and 10th level magic comes back as a mainstay. Would be cool if they touch on Karsus too.

0:45 there has been research into other high magic, but as I have not published that module yet it is still incomplete. let's see how this ogl stuff goes.
