I have a 10 speed deore clutch deraileur and 9 speed shifter on a 9 speed cassette with 7 cogs + spacer for idling downhill. 7 is plenty enough for me.

This awesome shit makes me so happy, shimano, well done, what People dont understand how shimano works, they always deliver. I run The xtrm9100 but Will buy The xt aswell, slx Will go on my sons bikes, even tough they learnd riding with only 11 gears, hehe :)

When you upgrade from xt 8000 11 speed, can you use your old crank and chainring? Of do you have to upgrade that as well?

I want the new brakes for my downhill bike. Do you guys have them forsale for just the brakes?? I have sram guides right now and they are not good, garbage more like.
