Lunch Poems at SFU is a unique vibrant exchange of poetic ideas and cadence held the third Wednesday of every month, noon to 1 pm, in the Teck Gallery at Simon Fraser University's Harbour Centre Campus.

Chelene Knight, a graduate of The Writer’s Studio at SFU, has been published in Sassafras Literary Magazine, Room, emerge 2013 and Raven Chronicles and is a member of the editorial board at Room. Braided Skin, her debut book, is deeply rooted in her experiences of mixed ethnicity. Her mother is African-American, and her father and his family were victims of the Asian expulsion in Uganda during the 70s, when President Idi Amin led a campaign of “deIndianization,” resulting in the “ethnic cleansing” of the country’s Indian minority.

Dina Del Bucchia is the author of Coping with Emotions and Otters (Talonbooks, 2013), Blind Items (Insomniac Press, 2014) and the forthcoming Rom Com (Talonbooks, fall 2015) written with Daniel Zomparelli, who co-hosts the Can’t Lit podcast with her. Dina Del Bucchia is co-artistic director of the Real Vancouver Writers’ Series. She writes and thinks about pop culture, self-help, celebrities, comedy, and of course emotions and otters. Dina holds an MFA from UBC and lives in Vancouver.
