I can't wait until my PC-9821s get here from Japan. My only shipping option was Seamail so 8 to 12 weeks.

That huge delay at boot probably caused by scsi card? Mine PC98 does that too when I plug it in.

Interesting, since this doesn't have a hard drive I'd also recommend trying some floppy-only (not counting ERCVFD) games. Nectaris and Prince of Persia are currently my two favorite PC-98 games of this type. The former is an excellent turn-based strategy game ported from the PC Engine which isn't too hard to play without Japanese knowledge, and the later is probably my favorite version of the game besides the SNES one (both are by the same devs, and it's not an IBM PC conversion since it's actually the very first version to come out after the Apple II original). Both can be played on your As2 already since neither are sensitive to CPU speed, but It'd be cool to see how well they run on a V30 I guess. Hope you can get the bad floppy drive working.
