This movie is a good example on how to make a kick ass female character done right. She kicks ass, takes names, the lead villain is also a woman, but there's no chest thumping "I'm a girl!" and no male bashing.

“The queen it deserves” man her acting in this movie was absolutely delicious. Charlize scenes here deserves so much credit. The way she executed her lines and monologue was so superior. I mean the movie is serious not campy and she gave such a grand performance. Compared to the second one which is completely non existent to me it felt like the tv version of her. But in this first one man PURE CINEMA acting.
