The ACTUAL problem is that it isn’t representation. Disney just wants to get people talking about their stuff. If they change a characters race then people will begin talking about it whether or not if it’s negative or positive. And so this is why Disney is doing it. It’s so that they get people talking about their movies. They clearly don’t see this as diversity. They see it as a way to promote and make money.

I think the bigger issue is that Disney is still making live action remakes

As for "black Ariel" I was more concerned about the poor lighting in the teaser making it hard to see her underwater. That and Pat Carol, the late actress for Ursula, died just a mere months before the teaser dropped.
