I was really surprised with how fun this has been! I just got it in Saturday. I backed it for the minis for D&D as I'm more of a heavy euro player normally, but the price per mini was good and I really enjoy the art style.
But the game is a bunch of fun too! I think I now get the appeal of these style of games.
Enjoying painting the minis currently 😄
I will say that it probably needs some expansions to really sing as the base game variety isn't huge, but even just the upgrade pack for MD1 would provide some great variety if you're ok with proxy minis.
Heavenfall is probably the true next step to get into the higher level challenges and a campaign mode if you're into that.

I picked up massive darkness 2. The figures are truly amazing. My favorite is the angel with the goose on his head. Sadly, my mini backlog is pretty big. I still have Ankh, tiny epic dungeons, and a few more bloodborne figures to paint. This game should keep me busy for awhile. Waiting for your painting guide!

I was on the fence with this one for a time. I gave in and the allin is on the way :). Still hate the dashboards, they look cheap and dreadful. Cant wait to put it on the table and play alongside descent 2. Great video!

I love massive darkness, but was on the fence about massive darkness hellscape. Your video has convinced me to buy it. I thank you but I don't think my wife will lol.

MD2 is very good in my opinion. I think it plays better than MD1 for sure.

I don't practise organised religion anymore but somehow games with a lot of satanic imagery/symbols still put me off. All these pentagrams, devils, etc.... Just somehow make me uncomfortable. It's irrational and you can laugh about it, but it is what it is. I wish this had a more traditional fantasy setting, as other than that it has everything I want from a dungeon crawler.
