Planet of the Ood is one of the best stories of the revival.

Its one of them stories that sends out hope to the viewer, but also I love how the plot is a very true human story that is extremely relatable to our own life.
I do love it when Doctor Who makes you question our own world.

I very much enjoyed Sarah Dollard. Intelligent and insightful. I hope she'll return as a writer to Doctor Who and as guest on the Fan Show. Also, these could be longer. Extended editions are certainly welcome.

Yes, my long range Ood possession worked. Now to take over all Ood cosplayers and make them do my bidding!

This episode has the most incisive conversation in nWho.

"Donna: (Horrified) A slave race?
Doctor: (Casually) What's wrong with that?
Donna: (Offended) I don't have slaves!
Doctor: Well who made your jacket then?"

The first contemporary Doctor Who episode I saw and thought, "This is rather good. I got to watch this show."

It's most likely that the ood breed the same way bees and ants do. They're a hive mind with a "queen" the big brain is basically the queen. So it probably also lays eggs.

The Ood are certainly the most endearing of the antagonists, but the adipose are the cutest.

The origin story of Lex Luthor's hair problems.

Mark Chambers, the countertenor, was the voice of the Ood Hive brain in their song, not a female. This doesn't matter, because the gentleness of the OOD trancends gender. I have always kind of assumed that the Ood are Non-binary.

I think it was pretty self explanatory from this episode that the Oods "breed" by turning humans into Oods. I think they all were humans at some point.
