When I got out of the Navy, I was in LA from the mid '60's to '70. There was a place called Schwab's Pharmacy (drugstore). I saw, (and met some) more actors there than you could shake a stick at, as my grandpa used to say. And right down the street was Whisky a Go Go, where I saw The Doors, and other up and coming bands perform. I worked evenings parking cars at the Whisky, and made more money in tips in a week than I did in two weeks in the Navy, and went to school during the day. Some of the best memories of my life were made in those years. :)

I dunno man, this guide just drove right on past so many iconic landmarks without comment! I haven't been to LA for 10 years, and have only visited once in my life and can't believe he missed it all.

I love videos like this, Adam. I visited Hollywood back in high school. Our marching band was in the Hollywood Christmas Parade in 1999. We didn't do these tours, but the driver for our charter bus took us to some cool places. He was telling us that to get into some of those Beverly Hills and Malibu neighborhoods, you have to have written permission or invitations because of the celebrities that live in those neighborhoods. It makes total sense with all the paparazzi and tours like this. I looked up a couple of those places that the guide mentioned, and at least according to Google, most of them were incorrect. Who knows? Everything on the internet is true, right? lol Keep up the awesome videos, dude.

We took this tour some years ago and it was the best. Being from out of town, I was skeptical because we normally use the big red bus, however, this turned out to be the best because it was able to go deep into a lot of areas the big red bus tour could not and our driver was the best.

This whole west coast series has been amazing (yes, even eating in the Jack in the Box parking lot 😊). Feels like a virtual vacation for me!

You can tell you’re on the West Coast because when you’re on the East Coast, your videos upload at 9 AM Eastern standard time on the West Coast it is noon eastern standard time. You are so lucky to be able to travel the way you do so fortunate to be able to do so, thank you for taking us along with you these videos make you seem like you’re there

I took one of these tours too in 2018. Literally, the tour guide mispronounced the names, blew a few stop signs, went through a red light and almost killed us, and he got lost half way through the tour and asked one of us to open Google maps to get us back, haha. Overall, you have no clue what will happen on these tours.

I took two tours of the Hollywood hills and it gave me a great overview of the area that I never would have gotten on my own. I think seeing locations of where movies had been filmed or seeing famous clubs was cool. The celebrity homes were nothing all that great, “there is so and so’s house” and you see a fence or garage. The quick tour of the area and a knowledgable tour guide are worth the time.

I did a Hollywood Van tour years ago. Saw mostly trees and bushes outside celebrity homes but it was so much fun! Our guide was so funny we all had a good laugh. Oh, and we crashed, up in the hills, and had to walk back down to the Chinese Theatre which was GREAT! Loved walking the hills!

Family did one of these tours over spring break. Definitely corny but have to admit it was fun. Took the TMZ tour bus, which I'd highly recommend. They stop in front of outdoor restaurants and stake out celebs. Pulled up next to Whiz Kalifa and his family cruising down Sunset in his lowrider and talked to him a bit. Also saw a couple of pro athletes.

Great video! Had a family reunion and we took one of those tours in 2011. We saw Elton John walking along Rodeo Drive! His dog had corful fur. Great time!

My wife and I did these types of tours a few years ago. Afterward, we got into some pretty good dialog with the driver, who seemed like a pretty nice guy. He said there is a fair amount of BS in these tours, or extremely outdated made to sound current. He said he tried to be as accurate as he can, but said some companies/drivers look at the tourists as suckers.

I want to see a celebrity get into a disguise and take one of these tours that goes by their home... And so when it gets to their home, they hop out of the van without saying anything and just walk up, open the gate or door, and go in the house. 😂😂 I can't even imagine the faces on the people in the van, let alone the tour operator.
