I bet you wake up at 4am ♥ I know WHY now! You have that "enlightened glow", good sir. I loved watching your programs in Germany on tv. We would watch as a family, and we had been to some of the spots. We would hoot and holler, like a flock of geese! "We've seen that!", and laugh and giggle. For decades I have watched Rick Steves. Even after moving to here in The EU years ago, I still watch Rick for travel ideas or to confirm, if somewhere is worth going. Greece/ Athens is fabulous. The entire country is amazing for travel. Going there for beach vaca next week. 🎉🎉🎉

Why didn't you mention the recreation of The Parthenon in Nashville TN? The statue you show of Athena is the one in Nashville. Created during a Worlds Fair I might add.

How come Brits appropriated those artefacts? I know they also have many other pieces from other countries.

maybe the temples with women as collumns like Hathor in egypt and in the ones in greece were where great ceremonies and magic were conducted at ospicious times astronomically(equinox, precession, solstice, eclipses) and maybe where birthing took place. Its possible these sites were built over or near ancient fresh water springs too

Looks like a lot of rubble to me…they should knock it all down and build something useful….like homes for the homeless 🙄
