For me as daily - cb500x, a real adventure around the World - himalayan (Budget) or tenere 700 (perfectly simple). For me Bikes without a Lot of electronics really shine here.

i own a TRK. have ridden it for 15 K or so. both on rd and off. i find that for the price, it hits bulls eye every time. In my travels haven't found it lacking in any terrain or in any condition

I onw a TRK X ( my third benelli). In may we returned with my wife from a trip with the trk through argentine patagonia (south of Argentina, more than 7000 km in 21 days). I drove on dirt roads, gravel, etc. throu mountains, and endless and lonely roads, with winds of more than 60km / h, snow. The bike behave excellent with zero problems, really fantastic. My first benelli was a Tnt 300 with which we traveled to Machu Pichu, Peru, more than 8500 km in 26 days and also zero problems.

Kawasaki Versys-X 250 (or 300) - More than enough power, 400++km on full tank, build for both road and adventure, lighter and so on. Ride on small cc bike are way so much fun.

The Yamaha T700 gets my vote. That cross-plain twin engine is powerful enough on the road and the bike is light enough for serious off-road riding. The definitive unicorn 😃

Last year I bought a 2010 kawasaki versys the guy really neglected the bike and fell with it bought it for $600 did around $400 of work on it and its an absolute beast now looks brand new

Have just bought a Suzuki v-strom 650xt it is my everyday ride and am setting it up for some good ol aussie touring, absolutely love it !

They are all good. The best bike is the one you own. I bought an used Yamaha Tenere xt660z with 4000£ and 15k miles on it. It gets me everywhere I want. And it is perfect bike for this budget. But any other is also good. The main thing is to go out and drive it.

If Royal Enfield ever release a 650 Himalayan with twin front brake rotors and a sixth gear, they will sell them like hotcakes. Noraly (Itchy Boots) has proven the little 450 Himalayan as a world traveler.

In the next updated video I'd take a look at the CRF300 Rallye and see if it should be included. I used one through a 220 miles trek in Sweden. And I must say that the bike is amazing. It handle highway and extrem off-road really well.

how do you feel about the honda nc750x in 2021

I ride a Himalayan which I love (my first bike, so nothing to compare with yet!). Money no object - it's the Triumph. But the Suzuki the Kawasaki and the Honda are also on my list. I do a lot of road riding and not much off-road but prefer the ruggedness and riding position of adventure bikes over pure road bikes. Great list by the way - something for everyone, surely?
