EDIT: SOLVED! When this one gets solved fully I'll update the description here:
- The customer replaced the "A/C auto amp", this removed all fault codes (still no heat)
- The customer then had the fuse replaced, and the heat started working!

ours never worked since we had it but the weather here is mild and we just use heated seats if it gets cold enough...suddenly one day it started working again :D

Thanks for putting out the video. This looks like a job that I will not want to do!

Awesome video, Dala. I'm planing to retrofit a chademo on ze0, doing it on aze0 vs ze0 is a huge difference. Got all parts and scratching my head if i need to film it or not...

Ah it's fascinating that they changed the PTC heater over the years. In your video, they appear to heat the "coolant" thus emulating the ITC heating approach. In the AZE0 and later, they place the PTC within the HVAC box itself and heat the air, thus skipping the liquid/coolant entirely.

Im getting some gloves and doing the repair soon. If it doesn't work with the new old PTC, I think I'd rather fit it a diesel heater, stay hot and toasty instead all winter. Especially since winter starts in September in Norway

Oh, the fuse is inside inverter? Wild. Is sticking the multimeter into the HV plug a bad idea? If the car tries to turn on the heater, you should get HV there, right? If it does not want to turn it on, it will of course measure nothing, which also could be a broken fuse then and more tests are needed.

The 2011 Leaf I bought a couple of years ago had a faulty PCT heater, I had it replaced with a 2012 one and is still going now. Luckily, nothing else wrong with the system. £500 fitted.

Sometimes we learn more from our failures than successes. 🤔
I enjoyed the video anyway, having completely stripped a gen1 Leaf I love watching your videos about them.
Do you have any advice about using one of these heaters in an EV conversion?

The fuse linked to from Josteins video is no longer produced. Do you remember which fuse you have used?

Thanks for sharing this video. Do you know where I can find a video on how to change the PTC Heater on a 2014 model?

Yeah, these are REALLY awkward to change !! I did mine 3 years ago, it had taken the 30A fuse in the DC/DC with it, sadly :-( Luckily I too found a known good used one, but doing both the PTC and the fuse was not a quick repair

Dala, do you have, within any of your videos, an explanation of how to remove/repair/replace the J1772 charge port and cable including instructions on how to remove the cover off the head? Thanks. So many people have had this problem but no one seems to have recorded exactly how to remove the cable and re-solder the pins. Thx.

I have this issue as well... The AC works beautifully... but the heater doesn't engage and reacts the exact same way. I've read some of the other comments and i'm just trying to figure out which fuse that they replaced? I was looking at some other comments... north of the battery if you open it up it's beside the anti theft horn? The DC/DC one?

Hi. Do you have video installation / removal of the nissan leaf ze0 dc-dc converter?

Terrific video! I replaced the PTC today and it still doesn't heat. I get no error codes in Leaf Spy Pro. Is the next step to change the fuse then? Is it possible to measure whether the fuse has blown without removing the DC/DC junction box?

Why you wearing hi voltage gloves after removing fuse ?
