Here I thought maybe, just maybe the NYSE would have computers that would, I dunno, automatically turn these programs on and off to eliminate human error. Here I find out Pedro has to flip a switch every evening and morning!!! I buy that explanation 100% 🙃🤪🤯

As a fellow IT professional, I find this excuse highly sus. Something this big would have formal planning and multiple eyes on it when it affects a production environment…ESPECIALLY one that’s public-facing like the NYSE.

So let me get this straight... So the live service that is the stock market, was ruined because a backup server was left on? Why was the live market service pointed to the backup system as the primary node for this service, rather than the actual servers it's supposed to be pointed to? Any sys admin or IT administrator seeing this is scratching their heads in utter confusion because that's not how backup systems work. Live services are not pointed to backup systems when in production. The entire environment wouldn't function if that were the case. In regards to a network, production networks are generally completely separate from a backup network. So if the NYSE has any semblance of a properly secure, functioning network, there is no way this could have happened. Topologically, a network and server farm would have dozens of hoops to jump through to get a live service to run off of backup servers. This is a steaming pile of fraud and bs that is being peddled to technologically illiterate people, playing off their ignorance of how computer and network systems function.

Worked in IT for over 37 yrs. The DR environment is a segregated system from an production environment. While there are hooks to both systems if what they say is true than more than 80-84 securities should of been affected. With all the checks and balances they would/should have had in place one person should not cause such a high level snafu. All hard to believe.

When creating this program You would create thousands of failsafes. It would automatically shut itself off at 9:00 a.m. if particular conditions were met. If it couldn't shut itself off for some reason it would then send alerts 2 1000s of people to manually shut it off. This is 2023 somebody built a program to run this program it's not like we're back in the 1960s where you had to flick some big switch on and off each day. What a joke.

Bloomberg, 1 singular employee forgot to turn the program off. Are we talking about 1960s television? What program were they watching? LoL

Programs don't require people to turn them off why do they blatantly lie someone needs to call them out.

This fooked my Nine calls and i want compensation for my financial losses from their failures that damaged my stocks performance. This affected my position and if its an error why is there still a big red candle on there from this “error”. Bad faith claim i would think but we know the drill, fuck you retail deal with it lol.
