Samira thought to herself that maybe she could find a job in that village and earn some money to provide for herself and her son. With this hope, she set off for the village. But when she arrived at the village, she was faced with a bitter reality. She visited several houses and asked people to let her clean their houses, but no one allowed her in. Desperate and exhausted, Samira wandered around the village and came across houses that had been destroyed in recent clashes between two local groups. She looked at the ruins with a sad look and remembered two people who had been killed in those clashes: Ibrahim and Nemat. Samira could not stay there for long, because her time and energy were limited and she had to think about her and her son’s future. Fortunately, Samira reached the house of the shopkeeper, Sarmast. Sarmast was a kind and compassionate man. Seeing the disorganized situation of Samira and her son, he felt sorry for her and not only gave them work to clean the house and paid her wages. Sarmast even gave Samira some necessary supplies to help her get through these difficult days in the mountains.
