How about we make a swap? All the American senior citizens not getting by on Social Security are free to move to a beautiful country down south, where the food and cerveza is affordable in a pretty town or university city, and let the young people from down south move up here for good jobs where they will pay into social security for those of us already here?

Border Control Proposal:

1. Build and extend an effective border wall that can't be easily breached (with ladders, hacksaws, wire cutters, etc).

2. End catch and release. Instead, for those illegally crossing:

CATCH - DETAIN - RETURN (to designated country of origin or to some designated drop off point on the other side of border)

3. Enforce E-Verify laws/rules with heavy fines against any business that hires undocumented immigrants in the work place. These fines would persist as long as they are on the payroll. If company tries to pay under the table, then start criminal procedures against CEO and other suspects.

4. For those immigrants with the proper paperwork or evidence of a qualifying circumstance, allow then to enter country on a temporary visa while they are being processed. During this period, this category of immigrants must be on probation and where a wrist or ankle location bracelet allowing for their whereabouts to be monitored as well as their cell phone communications.

It doesn't end "catch and release, " the biggest draw for illegal immigrants; it just limits the parameters under which parole can be granted...but not the number of parolees. It also doesn't close the border after 5, 000 encounters; it has to be an average over 7 consecutive days. I'm seeing a lot of loopholes here for a President who considers the catastrophe at the border a "challenge, " is failing at the polls, and who is desperate for aid to Israel and Ukraine.
