How to set a reminder in Windows 10 calendar (without Cortana)

In Window 10 there are many features that can help you stay on top of your day-to-day activities. The downside of this is that you have to select the calendar on a daily basis to check the events. Is there any way that I can activate an audio alarm or alert to remind me to check the calendar for a specific event?

Does it notify you? If it doesn't then this isn't what I need. I don't look at the calender all that much so I want to be notified without checking it daily.

I used to do this...before upgrading to windows 11, where they removed this, which is the most thing I regret about upgrading (though you can set a reminder directly from calendar app).

In the Repeat section, only two modes, weekly and daily, are active for me. How do I enable monthly and yearly modes ?

In Windows 11 is there a Mesg App for REMINDER- If i send a Mesg to my Computer it will Pop-up when i start my PC & Remind me, like a messaging application

I've been doing this for a while now, but a few days ago it randomly stopped working, I do it as normal and when I save the reminder it just vanishes, nothing happens and no reminder is set as if I never did anything, please help!

Isn't a point of a reminder to REMIND YOU when the time has come! When I make a test reminder it get to the time I set and nothing happens!

But it doesn't pop a reminder of the event? If I look at my calendar the event is there but that's no use to me, I want an actual reminder. Useless!
