IDF must be careful and alert during the month. Some people get angry while fasting.

British media reported on March 12 that after the Israeli army captured the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza in mid-February, it abused and beat medical staff inside the hospital. British Foreign Secretary David Cameron described the report as "very worrying" and demanded an explanation from Israel.

Doctor Ahmed Abu Sabha said that during a week of detention by the Israeli army, he was attacked by a dog wearing a mask and an Israeli soldier broke his arm.

Two medical staff who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of retaliation said they were humiliated, beaten, doused with water and forced to kneel in uncomfortable positions for several hours. They were detained for several days before being released. Some medical staff said they were beaten and even asked to take off their clothes when they were sent to detention centers..
