If the patient has not received any additional treatment such as radiotherapy and if the breasts are small, we can perform the opposite breast after 6 months from the operation. For patients receiving radiotherapy and with large breasts, we should wait up to 2 years to see the last image of the breast and the effects of radiotherapy.⁣
