The valuable power of agreement

Показать описание
Too many couples including those who call themselves Christian are dysfunctional. The husband and wife constantly seem to be in disagreement and the kids are raised in an atmosphere charged with strife.
It’s the perfect breeding ground to give the devil legal rights to attack:
Where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every kind of evil work, Jam. 3:16
The same verse in the Passion Bible puts it like this:
Wherever there is strife and jealousy you will also find many troubles and every kind of meaness.
There are no winners in domestic warfare. Only the spirits that provoke strife like Leviathan. This demon is a twisting serpent (Isa.27:1)
One of his skills is to twist words that one spouse speaks so the other spouse undrstands something entirely different. Be on the lookout for this. Step back and bind up the demon responsible for causing such confusion.
Why is agreement so vitally important?
The prophet Amos asked that:
Can two walk together except they have agreed? Amos 3:3
And Moses as he concluded his reflections on his long life wrote:
One shall chase 1000 and two shall chase 10,000 Deut. 32:30
In ordinary arithmetic, logically 2 would be able to chase just 2000, but in the spiritual world this is the new way to calculate!
Jesus endorsed this power of multiplication:
If two of you on earth agree about whatever they ask, it shall be done for them by My Father in heaven Mat. 18:19 AMPC
This particularly applies to Christian married couples.Don’t beg God to intervene in challenging situations. Instead find the applicable and relevant scripture. The adults should humbly put down their own will and seek out God’s will on which to agree. By doing Father’s will and not your own will ensure you thhat God knows you personally (Mat. 7:21-23)
Then decree and declare that scripture in faith and believe God’s Word that He will do it.
As wives you don’t have to share the same opinion as your husband, you don’t have to be a doormat. But tell him ‘Darling , I disagree but I recognise that you are my head, so we will maintain harmoney and disagree agreably.
The apostles taught a lot on family harmony. The Apostle Paul warned :
”Do not make mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 2 Cor. 6:14,15 Passion Bible
Young adults go on dates have amazing sex and think that sexual love (erotic) between them will be sufficient glue to hold you together in a long marriage relationship.
Have you ever bought superglue. It claims to stick almost everything. But if you drop that favourate vase that you just repaired you will find it breaks again in the same place.
Erotic glue will not hold under pressure. in long term relationships of marriage lasting decades. In the early years argume nts were easily settled under the sheets, but this physical solution tends to work less and less as respective hormone levels and their corresponding libidos decline year on year.
Only a shared love for God will prove to be a solid foundation for lasting love between you and your man of God.
Here are some simple pieces of advice:
If you pray together, you will stay together.
Stay excited about new truths you continue to discover as a couple.
Be willing to admit you were wrong. Put down your opinion and adopt what the Word of God says about the way out of your disagreements.
The Apostle Peter was a married man and in his letters he explains why men don’t see the answers to their prayers:
Married men treat your wives with tenderness, viewing them as feminine partners who deserve to be honoured for they share with you the grace of God, then your prayers will not be hindered. 1 Pet. 3:7 Passion Bible
Prayer for lionesses
Help me heavenly Father to understand a difference of opinion is not a disagreement. I resist strife and search for peace and soul harmony (1 Pet 3:11). My family will prosper and experience the joy of Your Presence.
