We need more bassists to not be afraid of power chords. So many bass players are afraid to be like guitar players and it's mind boggling as to why. It's almost an insult to most bass players to be told they play like a guitarist, but the alternative in a lot of cases is bassists that all sound exactly alike. "Don't use a pick, don't play power chords, don't play too straight". The bassists worst critic is another bass player I've always said. So much stifled creativity. 😂

Intro to calm like a bomb is always a good one! Taught myself by ear when I was a wee lad 😂

Have a lot, but the intro in "Calm like a bomb" is insane! The melodic choice is out of the box

Had the bass tab book for their first album when I was a kid. I learned every track. Still remember most of them some 20 years later. Tim Commerford is a fantasic player, his lines really compliment Morrello's style perfectly.

No Shelter with the delay. Sounds so dope. Oh yea Without a Face, which is such a G Funk era bassline.

Thanks for this, I'll get studying soon. You don't hear RATM at all in Portland, OR on the radio. Cheers for the high school memories!
