Dania Beach has had far too much vegetation removed. It is a barrier island which has ebb and flow periods of onshore sedimentary deposits. They need to stop removing vegetation, like they most recently did with the seagrape trees behind the pier, and cut out the eastern most parking area and replace that with heavily planted sand dunes. The erosion problem is going to continue to get worse, and it's not going to be solved by throwing hundreds of millions of dollars of imported sand at the problem.
