Brain Tumor Patients: Critical Role of the Nurse in Caring for Cognitive & Behavioral Changes

On August 17th, 2021, the UCSF Brain Tumor Center hosted the Adam Clar Neuro Oncology Nursing Lecture. This year’s topic focused on caring for cognitive and behavioral changes in adults with primary brain tumor patients. The presenters shared practical cognitive and behavioral management strategies to improve day to day care, as well as outlining nurses’ and allied health professionals’ roles in advocating for patients, resource linkage, and offering cognitively informed care in order to optimize health outcomes for this patient population.
