I received this Furno 500 Variable Temperature Heat Gun with 12 different heat settings from Wagner - I’m going to open up the box, give it a try on a few different projects around the house and see how it works.

It’s easy to assemble and user friendly. The first of several projects I want to try is putting plastic over an old, drafty bathroom window and using the heat gun to remove the wrinkles.

I measured and cut the plastic to size, stuck it onto the double-sided tape, and turned the Furno 500 to the third setting.

I started far away to ensure the plastic doesn’t melt, then moved in closer and back and forth until the wrinkles were gone - this took about a minute.

With the wrinkles removed, you can clearly see my ring light in the reflection, the plastic stays in place better and it just looks nicer overall.

Once I was done, I pressed the power button to initiate the 3 minute cool down.

The versatility of this is perfect for my home DIY projects, so follow along as I increase the temperature to the hottest setting and make a clear acrylic shelf and other things in the coming days.
