Doing all the bearings and stuff on a full rebuild like that is an important part. It might not have been much, but bringing all the suspension parts and everything to where it's not sloppy means a lot to me.

I had a banshee a few years back, it was clapped out but I was gonna restore it before my grandpa passed. He passed before I could start working on it and I eventually sold it for a grand to pay for his headstone. Damn I miss that man.

There's just something about tearing down a machine and giving it tender care that gets me. Taking a tired worn out machine that hasn't seen love in years get turned into something great again. Makes you wonder how the machines would feel if they had feelings. Crazy how most people will never feel the feeling of restoring a build like this and then getting the joy of riding it afterwards. My first dirt bike came to me in a box, 2004 rm125. The only way I was going to ride it was rebuilding it piece by piece, and I succeeded. There is no feeling in my life that compares to the first time I rode it and it WORKED. I encourage anyone to go out and do the same because to me there is no better feeling than fixing things and breathing life into something that was once lifeless
