The thing is, during Champs 2023, they did enjoy all the games from group stage to playoff even if they lost it. But, when it comes to GF, they looked very pressured and were not enjoying the games itself.

If we join your coaching program, will we gain 500 RR too? Great video!
PaperRex
they might not have won a tourney yet, but they certainly have won the hearts of the fans
slopeex
prx is like the new DRX but better just always top 3 curse

Commeting before watching the video - As a PRX fan, I think it's the mental. They overthink too much sometimes and just make mistakes they don't usually do during the grand finals - at least for VCT major tournaments.
VCT Copenhagen - they had many tricks for Breeze, and I think it 9-13 is already a great score for that weird 'troll' comp. FPX just had better aim that day.
VCT Tokyo - not having smth really forced them to play a different comp, and they did a damn good job hitting 3rd.
VCT LA - I think they felt the pressure because of jinggg - pulling out the old bind comp, which itself was already questionable, and also did really questionable plays, there were a few attacking rounds Jinggg solo pushed showers and died without any trades. If they had continued with their 2023 comp, they might have won that map - just like how they stuck to their ascent comp and won this time, when they lost that map to EG during upper finals. They tried to play their chamber comp against Optic back in Copenhagen on Bind, and they lost that, too. But credit where credit is due, EG's whole team showed up for GF.
Against Sentinels, Sentinels just felt like the better team from the start, better strats and aim and everything.
I think the reason why PRX is so fun to watch is because they keep getting away with ridiculous plays that don't make sense - but these plays get punished when it matters the most. BUT their strats seem to have developed a lot more this year compared to last year, so that's something I appreciate. After watching the video - they actually toned down on the (dumb) aggression alot this year, last year they made a lot of plays where they just kept running it down without utilities and just die. You could see from the video, Reyna and skye flashed out B long on Bind, but they didn't see anyone at fountain - they immediately made the call to fall back and not overextend.
EDIT: Once again, great analysis with the stats, some of what I wrote kinda agree with your points. One thing that was weird was that PRX actually played Cypher on Lotus in the Pacific League to great success, but they swapped him for astra and continued running that strat, which, like you mentioned, got punished in champs

If Jing didn’t have to leave and play his last tournament, I honestly believe they might beat EG. the whole story and emotions of wanting to win for Jing so bad probably got in their heads and added so much pressure
boohoo
90% of the time u see them in a grand finals, always count on them to get 2nd place 💀
Fluskar
The fact they came third AGAIN in Masters Madrid is crazy
hotsauce
Although I want paper rex to win a finals, I don't want them to change their aggressive style. Because I believe they're the only team that can make the aggressive style double dive duelist work. I want them to show everyone that valorant can also be played this way.

Amazing video as always! I really hope Paper Rex breaks their 2nd place curse and takes a major international trophy next year
melttea
i totally agree on late round aggression when opponent are predicting it cus having a full utile late round aggression will take you off guard
sturts
man i wish PRX could win 1 international trophy

PRX is forever gonna be Uncrowned King
TheLastQuazar
The series vs FPX i think was their best chance so far. It was before PRX had so much experience so the mistakes were more understandable but man they SHOULD have won breeze. They brought out this comp nobody could prep for and were consistently finding early round advantages. Unfortunately they were equally as consistent at throwing that advantage away by over pushing. The early round pushes were SO good if they would have just backed off a little after the initial push they would have won their first ever finals appearance.

PaperRex is the only team that will never get bored when we watch, because they play without the need to reach the 'time limit' like American or European teams. JUST PRESS THE W
ardig
I think despite not having an international major trophy they are still one of the best teams valorant has and had, they are easily the best team to have not won a trophy and it would be hard to believe if in the chapter of PRX in the story of valorant there was not at least one major trophy recorded
jackalcrackle
From the underdog times to the world champion competitors, these PRX players are insane and their aggressive plays are always their ego.
bryanmulcare
they’re the old tsm of cs. second place finishes with a player that’s arguably top 5; but that’ll also mean in the future they’ll be the greatest team of all time… no?
jerms
Seeng PRX coach get tilted after round loss never gets old :D
VitalisProd
Love the video, I like how you included stats of so many top team for comparison
