Many singers have a very difficult time finding notes in their mixed voice or middle voice.

The mixed voice allows singers to go up to high notes with incredible power, but without straining.

But many singers wonder whether mixed voice is still worth learning since so many vocalists like Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo sing very breathy and light.

Today, I'll show you why mixed voice is still very important to learn.

All those singers you mentioned still sing in mix. It’s a light mix. But they are all still connected

Maybe this is why people say singers really can't sing anymore? Because they're only using a portion of their voice. Imo its quite boring, I like a singer who can do it all

The ultimate mixed voice singer in my mind was Dolores O’Riordan. She pushed the envelope so much she was yodeling.

It can never go out of style just because the trend lacks the strength of doing it . Ones a bottle of sherry the other is. Spritzer

Funny thing is, I had a voice teacher once who never told me about mixed voice. She just taught me to sing in both my head voice and my chest voice so I’ve always just done that and I had no idea that there was any other way until I started watching these videos.

A Singer should master all the palette of colours that the different registers give the voice, chest, falsetto, head, nothing is supposed to be neglected

Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo also do sing in mixed voice, but for style reasons they choose falsetto many times. I think that until 80's was the pick of mixed voice 📈 since the 60's, but actually when Whitney Houston appears and then other divas followed her, chest voice was the new tendency and at the end of 90's - early 2000's, Mariah Carey made the breathy voice a new tendency in pop music. But in the rock scene, mixed voice never stopped.

I feel like my fixed voice won’t come until I fix the issues with my head and chest voice first. I swear I’ve seen like 100 videos about it and I still haven’t found it.

My problem isn’t not knowing how to sing in mixes voice. I’m fact, it’s the only way I can hit high notes instead of chest voice. It just happens automatically that my chest voice transforms into a muffled, closed mix and I’d love to change that so I can sing to my full potential. Anyone have any tips on placement for this?

Hmm... Steve Perry dominantly did mixed voice ??
As far as I know, he mostly used chest voice, like in songs : Open Arms, Faithfully, Anyway You Want It, Don't Stop Believing.
