John Paul Jones is one of the best musicians to ever walk the face of this earth.

There is good, there is excellent, there is outstanding, and then you pass beyond the degrees into sublime. Jones and Gilbert have taken this to another heaven. And all my life I thought jones was a great bass player - I realize now that he’s a musician par excellence.

I'm sitting on my back porch right now, after another incredibly difficult and draining day, and feeling it all melt away as this washes over me... I come back here often as it is comfort food to my soul as my mind drifts back over nearly 50 years of life's winding journey since first hearing this song as a young boy. Thank you, JPJ, you are a class act!

To see Gilbert just play a couple of chords and listening to jpj playing a mandolin solo just tells you about what music is really about not like today’s rappers dissing one another. This is an excellent guitarist who chooses to stay in the dark not drawing attention to let a part of music history shine while he just sits there and enjoys himself

John Paul Jones is probably the best all around musician I have ever seen live. It's either him or Prince...

Always thought John Paul wasn’t given the credit he deserves for all the great music he made and his own special contribution to the band Led Zeppelin!!

J.P.J. is probably the most underrated musician of all time.

Paul Gilbert is giving John all the room to play. That shows respect for the other musicians

Jones’ humility is so refreshing. So humble to be such a musical icon.

JPJ, the band’s introvert. Quiet confidence. A huge talent.

I think the only person I would ever sit and watch play a mandolin… Long Live Led Zeppelin and John Paul Jones!

My son used to play piano and violin (he was a classic orchestra musician), after listen Led zeppelin Going to California he fall in love with the mandolin, and told me that was his next instrument.
Sadly he pass way too young, but every time I hear this music I close my eyes and imagine him playing.❤️😙

This is why Zepp, was, is, and will forever be, the greatest band of all time. I can't think of another band, except Floyd, who's music as an instrumental can be equally has beautiful as the recorded version. I hope to live in a world one day when JPJ is no longer under-appreciated.

Jimmy Page and Robert Plant got most of the notoriety in Zeppelin, but none of either one of their solo efforts could compare to Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin had a magic blend of talent that can never be replicated and all four members were necessary to create the magic. And hats off to Paul Gilbert for being the perfect musical sideman and not letting his ego interfere with this performance.
