YouTube keeps putting all of these in my face. I end up watching them because it can be hard to find anything else but I’m am tired of it and getting more tired.

I do absolutely love Mina Le’s videos. She admits she has to do popular topics for the algorithm but always adds more nuance, kindness, and research to her takes.

I think YouTube feels like the old west where someone strikes gold and that area instantly becomes a boomtown for several years and then the gold runs out and you have a ghost town. It’s all just a boom/bust cycle.

It’s a problem when there is no critical thinking which is why I enjoy your videos because you’re well versed in your subject and you’re honest and opinionated and I appreciate that. I tend not to watch videos when I hear or see a lack of research, evidence or critical thinking.

My favorite “commentary” channel is Jen luv, she does a lot of research and talks about interesting topics. I also love the way she does lives, other than hers I truly hate lives but she does it well.

I'm here for makeup new releases and makeup techniques, you are my favorite creator for those topics. You get on here, get right to the point, show and give your recommendations and opinions. I have stopped watching a lot of creators who add memes throughout the entire video, crazy sound effects, constant repeating the same thing over and over. Second thing I follow is true crime, and only specific channels for that. So please keep doing what you do! Happy clown here!

Actually, I always like to hear perspectives on the current issues from 3 creators, that, I believe always put a lot of research into their commentary content: Swoop, Swell Entertainment, and Salem Tovar. I definitely recommend their content!

I see your point; however I think it’s sometimes a good thing for as many channels as possible to spread awareness about (for example) the problems presented by a Temu/Shein or children + social media + poor parenting + Sephora.

I feel for YouTube creators who feel like they constantly have to chase the algorithm. My favorite creators just create what they love and I love them for it. I usually find new creators through others because the algorithm can't figure out what I want (my interests are wildly varied).

You are one of my primary make-up people that I watch and I do enjoy your videos. I find it interesting how many copy cat influencers there are. I know when a new palette is being released EVERY make-up channel is going to talk about it and do multiple looks, which is great but it does get overwhelming. How did Friday become the day all make-up influencers do new make up releases? Like my Friday feed is killed by everyone talking about the same make-up being released. Needless to say, I don't watch much on Fridays because once I've heard your take on the new releases I don't need to go watch 5 other people talk about the same products.
