So, back in late 2009 it was the middle of the great recession, unemployment rate in New England was about 20 percent. In New Hampshire if you were on unemployment at the time the pay was about $390 a week. I had a candidate who I was really trying to find a job. I ended up getting him an interview with the Dunkin Donuts franchisee I worked with at the time called Kefua Management and was able to secure him an area director position. When I called him up with the offer of $65,000 a year he cried and told me that he and his wife thought they were going to lose their house and must live in their car. Because they got this job, they were able to stay in their home.
