Is Machine Gun vs Gatling Sentry Stratagem Best - Helldivers 2

The Machine Gun and Gatling sentries serve to provide fire support for light and medium enemies in Helldivers 2. The Gatling sentry has greater firepower, but the machine gun sentry has a much shorter cooldown. The gatling sentry is great for static defenses, like objectives and extraction, which the machine gun sentry is great for mobile helldivers who fight impromptu skirmishes using hit and run tactics.

I prefer MG sentry just because I can spam it more. The longer engagements my rocket or AC sentries will take care of.

I like using the machine gun sentry because it can be an incredible distraction for the enemies to focus on rather than me with little resources used. It works better as a distraction for bugs because bots immediately know your position after using a strategem for whatever reason but still works when you’re being chased and need a scape goat.

Tip: if you put your sentry on a high point, and yourself on the ground, it will tend to fire over your head at distant enemies rather than through you. The rock at the ICBM site to the left of the control panel is a favourite for this.

For me it's a balance of quick call and high firepower when I want to do a sentry build.

Gatling turret a bit too good at killing fellow helldivers, 0:24 he would be mega dead if it was gatling sentry. It also very wasteful on ammo, unless enemy coming in s really dense crowd it will miss a lot.
