Summary:
Configurational stereoisomers are only spatially different but rotation won’t allow interconvertion. The only way to change between these type of isomer is to break and reform bonds. Examples include both cis and trans 1,3-Disubstituted cyclobutanes, cyclopentanes and cyclohexanes.
