Using Distributive Property to Multiply out Polynomials

Using the distributive property for multiplying polynomials provides a way to multiply two polynomials of any size. This is a convenient alternative to teaching students about the FOIL method since the FOIL method only works for a specific instance (multiplying two binomials).
