Greek Olympian Banned From Games for Offensive Tweet

The 2012 Summer Olympics will mean a lot of firsts—and that includes getting disqualified for offensive tweets.

Voula Papachristou, Greece's triple-cup champ, has been barred from competing in the London Olympics, after sending the following Internet missive:

That may be factually true, though I do not have the figures to hand, thus if it is true then it is not racist. If her statement was incorrect then she was wrong, and no-one has any need to cry over it.

As an Resident of North American Territories I hope you appreciate your countries history of colonial settlement... I hope you did not forget that the colonization of North America went hand in hand with the displacement and mass slaughter of the indigenous Indian Populations and subsequent forced migration of Africans.
