So we not only have to fight a legal battle in court but we can also be against our own lawyer who acts in bad faith. Seems to me like this is a good place for the government to pass a law where the lawyer can face consequences if he plays games with the client about case papers.

Sadly very few lawyers think like you, they hardly ever return any files, atleast in the US 🇺🇸 they provide certified copies of all filings

Two things that I have learnt is
1st : Do not hide anything from your lawyer and the doctors.
2nd: These two professions demand a lot of integrity, but actually have the least.
Their knowledge isn't something that a random guy can have, only professionals in these professions know nuances and they can lie to your face, you would not able to catch it. But when needed, find a good lawyer and doctor. Do not hesitate in that matter.

One point... As a doctor it is mandatory by law that we provide copies of all report and prescription to a patient and even bills, why is it not there for the lawyers, is it because they r lawmakers and they do whatever they want...

Thank you Mr. Agarwal for this advice. It is a common practice among Advocates not to provide complete documents to their clients, presumably with a view to hold on to the brief. This is very true in case of Tax Consultants.

With my very bad and some good experience with lawyers.
I always have 2 copies of everything, and i never confront lawyer aggressively.
I try to talk with them as calmly as possible.
You literally are depended on lawyers and judges good mood and emotional fitness.
