SANTO DOMINGO DRIVE【4K】

THIS 4K SUNDAY MORNING SANTO DOMINGO DOWNTOWN DRIVING TOUR TAKES YOU AROUND THE BEAUTIFUL CITY CENTER AREA OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC'S CAPITAL, SHOWING YOU SOME OF THE MOST POPULAR NEIGHBORHOODS, SIGHTS, AND HIGHLIGHTS SUCH AS:

1. The video starts in the Avenida Winston Churchill - known as Santo Domingo's most important and centrally located avenue located in the Piantini neighborhood. This avenue contains some of the main shopping centers such as Blue Mall, Acropolis Center, and Plaza Central.

2. Malecon (Avenida George Washington) - known as Santo Domingo's beach boulevard. The Malecon extends about 14 kilometers located in front of the Caribbean Sea and is known as one of the most important roads of the city, here you can find several restaurants, hotels monuments, and attractions.

3. The Colonial Zone - is a unique neighborhood in Santo Domingo. Known as the oldest constantly inhabited city in all of “The Americas”, founded by the Spanish in 1496. The Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Dominican Republic. A beautiful area with small restaurants, bars, shops, museums, and squares.

4. Parque Colón - One of the most important squares in Santo Domingo's Colonial zone. Located next to the Catedral Primada de América, this historic square contains a large statue of Christopher Columbus and is a meeting place for residents. Here you'll find a mix of tourists, guides, shoeshine boys, tourist police, and thousands of pigeons.

5. Avenida Duarte - Known as a street that converts into a market daily where all sorts of things from food to clothes and household appliances can be purchased. This area gets a bit dicey at night.

6. Avenida Abraham Lincoln - Known as one of the cities most important roads, located in the upscale Naco neighborhood. This street has the famous Agora Mall and Novo Centro Mall, a hospital, many restaurants, and offices.

Santo Domingo is the capital and largest city of the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean with a population of about 3 million inhabitants. Santo Domingo is also known as the oldest city in the Americas.

Excelente recorrido. Soy venezolano y viví medio año en la hermosa ciudad de Santo Domingo en 2019. Este video me trajo muchos recuerdos de avenidas y sitios por lo que pasaba todos los días. Y por supuesto la bella Zona Colonial que disfrutaba los fines de semana. Gracias y saludos desde Caracas.

I just came from DR i was there for the first time i'm very surprised how good it looks was expecting it to be very poor the highway from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana is in very good condition much better than some USA highways also people are very nice i hope they continue in this direction because they are not far behind from some european countries
